Acoustic Guitarist Performs at Lauren Pines
York, SC – July 17, 2008 -- The Lauren Pines Homeowners Association continues its summer concert series with recording artist Justin Deeter next Friday evening, July 25 at Lauren Pines’ third “Music in the Pines” concert event at 7:00 p.m.
Justin Deeter has been singing and writing songs since he first began playing guitar in high school, being influenced by a wide variety of musicians from the jazz, pop, and rock genres. Through these influences Justin has created a unique sound that blends multiple genres into one vibrant acoustic sound. Justin’s performances often include the acoustic guitar as well as piano and harmonica.
Preceding Justin’s performance on Friday night, an early event at 6:15 p.m. will be for kids and adults alike as Union Baptist Church's Vacation Bible School presents “Outrigger Island.” Guests will be genuinely entertained as the kids sing the songs that they have learned throughout the week.
A “mega adrenalin maze” bouncy castle will be on site the night of the concert for children to enjoy while parents enjoy the concert.
Commenting on the success of the concert series, HOA president Edward Johnson reported that turnouts had been good at the first two events. “Despite the threat of rain, our first two concerts were well attended by the community. We’re glad to see area residents dropping by to enjoy some entertaining music on a Friday evening. Community is an important aspect at Lauren Pines and one we want to promote on an ongoing basis. Sponsoring free concerts is just one way for us to bring residents together during the summer.”
Inexpensive picnic dinner plates will be available the night of the concert. Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic meals if they wish. Free frisbees will be given away as well to the first 50 guests.
The “Music in the Pines” free summer concert series is sponsored by the Lauren Pines Homeowners Association and runs through the summer on every other Friday evening. Each concert is open to the public. All shows are family friendly and end by 8:30 p.m.
Free giveaway items and door prizes at each concert are provided by event sponsors including York Bi-Lo, York YMCA, Lending Edge Mortgage, Palmetto Bar and Grill and Stacy’s Garden Center.
